This course is functionally a “mock closing” in which the instructor will walk through an ALTA settlement statement line by line to explain what each typical charge is. Each line item is also cross-referenced and compared against the standard TAR PSA so that agents are able to explain to clients what a charge is and why they are responsible for it.

This course provides agents with an overview of how real property is inherited and what agents need to know in representing sellers who have inherited real property (or think that they have), including addressing pre-contract matters such as who has authority to sign the PSA.
Impact of Marriage and Divorce on Real Estate Transactions (CE certified)
In this course, agents will learn about the different types of joint ownership of property and the impact of marriage and divorce on who has to be involved in any real estate transaction.
Capital Gains and 1031 Exchange Basics (CE certified)
This course is designed to give agents a basic overview of the capital gains implications for a real estate sale, including the basics of the capital gains exclusions for primary residence. Additionally, the course will provide an overview of the 1031 exchange process so that agents will be better equipped to represent clients interested in utilizing a 1031 exchange.
